Speaking, listening and understanding are central to every aspect of our lives. From expressing our needs to learning how the world works, we depend on our ability to listen, communicate and make sense of our social and material environment. This course will explore the key role that communication plays within the EYFS, as well as understanding the typical stages of speech and language development.
Additionally, it will look at how to promote these skills in the early years, explore activity ideas to support communication in the setting, and raise awareness around speech, language and communication needs.
