The EYFS is the most important statement of intent regarding the expectations of providers of early years learning. It is clear about what settings should be provided and the need to ensure that all children are allowed to learn and develop. This course will look at a setting’s responsibility and what that means for practitioners.
It will look at play and exploration alongside active learning to allow staff to harness the enormous power of a child’s sense of adventure and desire for discovery. The course will also look at creative and critical thinking and its role in effective learning and the importance of observation in practice to assist children, parents and carers and staff to assist goal setting and promote effective learning.
